The American Legion Reese-Hyman Post 96 Warren County, Georgia |
Home |
May 25th, 2007 - Legionnaires, friends, and family met at the Warrenton Cemetery to place flags on veteran's graves on Memorial Day weekend. We were joined by Bill Loper, Cedric Bacon, Sr., Patricia Hambsch, Eric Wilkerson, Norman DesRosier, Guy, Diane, Kelly and Summer Williams, Angela Kemp, Justin and Stefan Flournoy, Aaron Donnelly, and Tom Brady. After honoring those at the Warrenton Cemetery, volunteers fanned out to place flags at other cemeteries in Warren County. Post 96 of The American Legion is constituted to preserve the memories and incidents of veterans’ service to the country in time of war, to foster and perpetuate Americanism, and to inculcate a sense of individual obligation to the community, state, and nation. We welcome new members from Warren and surrounding counties, especially those with no post of their own. Our regular meetings are the 4th Tuesday of each month. Membership in The American Legion is open to members of the armed forces who were/are assigned to active duty during defined periods of hostility. See the Membership page for full details. We have members from Warrenton, Camak, Norwood, Thomson, and many other cities in the east Georgia area. Membership in The American Legion is encouraged for current service men and women. Even if you're still in the service, you're as much a veteran as our Pearl Harbor vets. For more information, please use any of the methods on the About Us page to contact us. We look forward to welcoming you to The American Legion. |
